Who Can Apply

Victorian groups only, including Landcare, land management, farmer discussion and producer groups. Not-for-profit and community organisations, including incorporated bodies, cooperatives and associations, are eligible. Individual farm businesses, landholders, service providers and consultants cannot apply directly. Preference is given to projects in Wellington, East Gippsland, Millewa/far North-West Victoria and the Goulburn Murray Irrigation District.
Eligible applicants are Victorian groups including landcare and land management groups, farmer discussion and producer groups, and not for profit and community organisations, including incorporated bodies, cooperatives or associations. Applications are encouraged from across Victoria. Individual farm businesses, landholders, service providers and consultants are not eligible to apply directly, but are encouraged to collaborate with their local group or network in developing and submitting an application. Preference will be given to projects in Wellington and East Gippsland shires, far North-West Victoria including Millewa and surrounding areas, and the Goulburn Murray Irrigation District.

What's Funded

Engaging technical experts and/or specialists to deliver timely, relevant and appropriate technical information, advice and support to groups of farmers or landholders on planning for and managing drought and dry seasonal conditions.

Expected Outcomes

Projects should identify technical knowledge or capability gaps, strengthen farmers' technical knowledge and capability, and increase collaboration, preparedness and responsiveness to drought and dry seasonal conditions. Funded activities must be completed by 14 June 2020, with evaluation, expenditure reporting, invoices, statutory declaration and final report due by 21 June 2020.
