Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be a local council or a Local Aboriginal Land Council (LALC). • Applicant must own and/or manage critical local community infrastructure within at least one targeted local government area. • Applicant must be a legal entity. • Applicant must hold an active Australian Business Number (ABN). • Applicant must have current public liability insurance with minimum coverage of $20 million. • Applicant must complete a CLIRP Asset Repair Plan outlining projects, scope, funding, timeframes and delivery model. • Australian or New South Wales government agencies are ineligible. • State Owned Corporations are ineligible. • Community organisations, not-for-profit organisations and volunteer organisations are ineligible. • Joint organisations of councils are ineligible. • Private for-profit businesses are ineligible. • Projects for essential public assets under the DRFA 2018, associated assets, or projects already funded by other grants or insurance are ineligible.
Applicants must be a local council or a Local Aboriginal Land Council that owns and/or manages critical local community infrastructure within at least one targeted local government area, be a legal entity, and hold an Australian Business Number. Applicants must also have current public liability insurance with minimum coverage of $20 million and complete a CLIRP Asset Repair Plan. Ineligible applicants include Australian or New South Wales government agencies, State Owned Corporations, community organisations, not-for-profit organisations, volunteer organisations, joint organisations of councils, and private for-profit businesses. Ineligible projects include essential public assets under the DRFA 2018 such as roads, tunnels and utility bridges, associated assets such as road furniture and retaining walls, and projects already funded through other government grants or insurance claims.
