The Specialist Dementia Care Program supports the establishment of specialised transitional residential units for people with very severe behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia who cannot be appropriately cared for by mainstream aged care services. Phase Two funding is intended to help aged care providers establish remaining SDCP units across Primary Health Network regions.
