- Eligible for patients, carers, immediate family and formal volunteers associated with Townsville Hospital. - Includes people experiencing financial hardship, special needs, extended inpatient stays or frequent hospital attendance. - Covers specific treatment patterns such as haemodialysis, chemotherapy and long-term Nurse Navigator care. - Also applies to Australian Red Cross Blood Service donors and volunteers when dedicated parking is unavailable.
Eligible applicants include patients, carers, immediate family and volunteers where: patients and carers are experiencing financial hardship; patients are admitted for an extended period of time including Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit and Special Care Nursery after 7 days, Intensive Care Unit and Paediatric Intensive Care Unit after 7 days, Palliative Care Centre after 7 days, Rehabilitation Ward after 7 days, or any other inpatient admission with a single episode of care greater than 14 days; patients and carers attend Townsville Hospital frequently including haemodialysis more than twice a week, daily or weekly chemotherapy for a period greater than 2 weeks, patients under the care of a Nurse Navigator for a period greater than 6 months, or patients required to attend Townsville Hospital more than twice a month for a period greater than 6 months; patients and carers with special needs who require assistance; Australian Red Cross Blood Service donors when they cannot access a car park at the donor centre and must use the Townsville Hospital public car park for a scheduled appointment; and formal Townsville Hospital volunteers when they cannot access a dedicated volunteer car park and must use the public car park.
