The HETI Allied Health Cross Boundary Grant Stream provides one-off grants to groups of allied health professionals from more than one Local Health District or Specialty Health Network to access workplace learning opportunities. Grants are available for metropolitan activities and higher-value grants are available for rural and remote groups with at least 50% rural participants.

Who Can Apply

• The group requesting funding must be predominantly (at least 75%) allied health professionals and/or allied health assistants. • The group must be comprised of three or more people. • The activity must be completed by 30 June 2026. • A current up-to-date quote must be included if the Cross Boundary activity involves an external presenter or facilitator. • The application must have support from the Director of Allied Health from the main contact person's Local Health District or Specialty Health Network. • The application must be for the Cross Boundary stream only and cannot seek funding for the same activity in both streams. • To qualify for the higher rural and remote funding amount, there must be a minimum of 50% rural participants. • In some rural circumstances, external registrations may be allowed subject to discussion with HETI.
To be eligible, the application must demonstrate that the group requesting funding is predominantly (at least 75%) allied health professionals and/or allied health assistants, with representation from those groups; the group is comprised of three or more people; the activity will be completed by 30 June 2026; a current quote is included if the activity involves an external presenter or facilitator; support is provided from the Director of Allied Health from the main contact person's Local Health District or Specialty Health Network; and the application is made for the Cross Boundary stream only, not for the same activity in both streams. For rural and remote higher-value funding, there must be a minimum of 50% rural participants. In some circumstances, such as in rural areas, training may be opened to external registrations subject to discussion with HETI.
