Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be a legally constituted Australian-based entity. • Eligible entity types are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Organisations, incorporated not-for-profit organisations, social enterprises, and New South Wales local councils and shires including regional organisations of councils and consortia. • Applicant must be based within New South Wales, unless it can demonstrate the project will run in and for the benefit of women and/or girls in New South Wales. • Application must be made by a single organisation that accepts responsibility for project delivery. • Applicant must be willing to obtain public liability insurance of at least $10000000 if successful. • Application must include a budget for eligible expenditure and exclude ineligible uses of funding. • Applicant must contribute at least 10 per cent of project funding from other sources, monetary or in-kind. • Funding request must be between $100000 and $250000. • Project must support women into paid employment; self-employment and entrepreneurship are out of scope. • Project must start by 2025-07-01 and be completed by 2027-06-30. • Applications must target and demonstrate outcomes for one priority cohort of women. • Individuals and groups of individuals, including sole traders, cannot apply. • Unincorporated organisations cannot apply. • For-profit commercial organisations and entities cannot apply. • Government agencies and entities cannot apply. • Applicants requesting 100 per cent project funding from Women NSW cannot apply. • Projects already receiving New South Wales or Commonwealth Government funding cannot apply. • Applicants with outstanding acquittal requirements with Women NSW cannot apply. • Applicants with obligations under the New South Wales National Redress Scheme who have not joined the scheme cannot apply.
Applicants must be legally constituted Australian-based entities in one of four categories: Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Organisations, incorporated not-for-profit organisations including community organisations, social enterprises, or New South Wales local councils and shires including regional organisations of councils and consortia of councils. Applicants must be based within New South Wales unless they can demonstrate the project will run in and for the benefit of women and/or girls in New South Wales and that the organisation meets all regulatory and business requirements. Applications must be made by a single organisation responsible for project delivery. Applicants must be willing to obtain public liability insurance of at least $10 million if successful, provide a budget for eligible expenditure, include a minimum 10 per cent contribution from other sources (cash or in-kind), apply for between $100,000 and $250,000, and deliver projects between July 2025 and 30 June 2027. Projects must support women into paid employment and not self-employment or entrepreneurship. Ineligible applicants include individuals including sole traders, unincorporated organisations, for-profit commercial entities, subcontractors applying on behalf of non-eligible organisations, government agencies and entities, applicants seeking 100 per cent project funding from Women NSW, projects already receiving New South Wales or Commonwealth funding, applicants with outstanding acquittals with Women NSW, and applicants with obligations under the New South Wales National Redress Scheme who have not joined the scheme.
