The NSW Government will provide co-investment support for NSW applicants who were successful in the Commonwealth Centres of Excellence ARC 2026 CoE Selection Round. Funding supports NSW-based research activities, staff, students, equipment and related centre operations undertaken within New South Wales.

Who Can Apply
• Must be a New South Wales-led bid awarded funding from the Commonwealth Australian Research Council Centres of Excellence 2025 Selection Round.
• Must be headquartered in New South Wales, defined as the Centre's main administrative office and CEO location.
• Headquarters must remain in New South Wales for the period of the RAAP Agreement.
• Must undertake at least 40 per cent of overall Centres of Excellence operational spend in New South Wales.
• Grant funds must only be used on activities undertaken within New South Wales and on staff, students or equipment located in New South Wales.
• Unsuccessful applicants under the Australian Research Council Centres of Excellence 2025 Selection Round are not eligible.
To be eligible, applicants must be a NSW-led bid awarded funding from the Commonwealth Australian Research Council Centres of Excellence 2025 Selection Round, be headquartered in New South Wales for the purposes of the grant (defined as the main administrative office of the Centre and location of the CEO) and remain headquartered in NSW for the period of the RAAP Agreement, and undertake at least 40 per cent of overall CoE operational spend in NSW. Applicants are not eligible if they were unsuccessful under the Australian Research Council Centres of Excellence 2025 Selection Round. Grant funds must only be used on activities undertaken within NSW and on staff, students or equipment located in NSW.
