Who Can Apply

- Must be an organisation invited by the Commonwealth Department of Health - Must be approved by the Northern Territory Aboriginal Health Forum and the Commonwealth Department of Health - Must have an endorsed Regionalisation Proposal (business case) - Must demonstrate capability, infrastructure, relationships and experience to deliver the transition
To be eligible, applicants must be the organisation or organisations invited to be considered by the Commonwealth Department of Health. Invited organisations must have been approved by the Northern Territory Aboriginal Health Forum and the Commonwealth Department of Health to take up operations of the health service from the Northern Territory Government. A Regionalisation Proposal (business case) must be developed and endorsed by the Northern Territory Aboriginal Health Forum before a grant is considered. Eligible organisations are assessed as having capability to deliver project activities in the project location, existing infrastructure and relationships to support the activities, experience and knowledge to deliver the objectives and outcomes, and approval for transfer of Northern Territory Government health service delivery to community control. The eligible organisation does not need to submit an application; the department assesses suitability using existing information and may seek additional information including transition plans, stakeholder engagement plans, governance arrangements, operating budgets and risk management plans.
