Women’s Week Grants fund innovative events held during NSW Women’s Week from 2 to 8 March 2026 that empower women and girls, uplift focus communities and challenge gendered norms. Funding is available to eligible Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Organisations and incorporated not-for-profit organisations delivering events for the benefit of women and girls in New South Wales.

Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be a legally constituted Australian-based entity. • Eligible entity types are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) and incorporated not-for-profit organisations. • Applicant must be based within New South Wales, unless it can demonstrate the project will run in and for the benefit of women and/or girls in New South Wales and meets all regulatory requirements. • Application must be made by a single organisation responsible for project delivery. • Events must be held during NSW Women’s Week from 2026-03-02 to 2026-03-08. • Application must include a budget with a minimum 10 per cent contribution from other sources, monetary or in-kind. • Successful applicants must obtain public liability insurance of at least 10000000. • Eligible not-for-profits must have current recognised registration or status such as ACNC registration, DGR status, Public Benevolent Institution status, incorporated association status, eligible cooperative registration, Local Aboriginal Land Council registration, or Indigenous Corporation registration. • ACCOs must be incorporated, not-for-profit, controlled and operated by Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people, connected to the communities they serve, and governed by a majority Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander governing body. • Individuals, sole traders and groups of individuals cannot apply. • Unincorporated organisations cannot apply. • Local councils cannot apply. • For-profit commercial organisations and entities cannot apply. • NSW Government and Australian Government agencies and their entities cannot apply. • Applicants requesting 100 per cent project funding from Women NSW cannot apply. • Projects already receiving New South Wales or Commonwealth Government funding cannot apply. • Applicants with outstanding acquittal requirements with Women NSW cannot apply.
Applicants must be a legally constituted Australian-based entity that is either an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Organisation or an incorporated not-for-profit organisation, including community organisations. Applicants must be based within New South Wales unless they can demonstrate the project will be run in and for the benefit of women and/or girls in New South Wales and that the organisation meets all regulatory and business requirements. Events must be held during NSW Women’s Week between 2 March 2026 and 8 March 2026. Applications must include a budget with at least 10 per cent funding from other sources, monetary or in-kind. Successful applicants must obtain public liability insurance of at least $10 million. Only one application may be submitted per organisation. Individuals, sole traders, unincorporated organisations, local councils, for-profit entities, government agencies, subcontractors for ineligible organisations, applicants seeking 100 per cent funding, projects already receiving NSW or Commonwealth funding, applicants with outstanding acquittals with Women NSW, and applicants with certain National Redress Scheme obligations who have not joined the scheme are ineligible.
