- Category 2 grant funding must be matched by 50% of the organisation's resources
- Catering costs are not funded for Category 2 projects
- Funding cannot be used for commercial for-profit activities
- Funding cannot be used for capital works or building work
- Funding cannot be used for permanent salaries or wages
- Funding cannot be used for permanent equipment purchases such as tablets and computers
- Funding cannot be used for business-as-usual or general operating expenses
- Funding cannot be used for gambling or alcohol-related activities
- Funding cannot be used for travel to the Premier's Gala Concerts
- Projects coordinated by New South Wales Government departments and statutory authorities are not eligible
- The same program or activity cannot be funded twice
