Who Can Apply

• Applicants can be rural landholders in the Snowy Monaro Regional Council area or incorporated not-for-profit community organisations. • Councils and government organisations cannot apply. • Eligibility considers proximity of the property to, and within, the Area of Regional Koala Significance. • Eligibility considers proximity to areas of high biodiversity value such as a national park or wildlife corridor. • Applicants must demonstrate commitment to conservation and natural resource management. • Landholders are required to provide co-funding or in-kind contributions, such as labour for fencing. • Support for restoration activities is available up to a maximum of 2000 dollars per hectare. • Applicants must be willing and able to maintain and monitor project sites, particularly revegetation works. • Projects are typically limited to plantings of up to 600 trees unless the applicant can demonstrate previous successful large-scale revegetation. • Successful applicants are expected to enter into a 10-year management agreement and undertake agreed management activities.
