Who is eligible for the Activating State Heritage Grant - Stage 1 EOI?
- Applicant must be the owner, manager, long-term lessee or custodian of a New South Wales State Heritage Register listed item.
- Managers or lessees must have written support from the owner; sites with multiple owners require support from all owners or the owners corporation.
- Applicant must have legal responsibility for maintenance and repair of the listed item.
- Applicant must be a local council, business, non-government organisation, community group or individual.
- Businesses or incorporated entities must have operations and headquarters in New South Wales.
- Applicant must agree to provide matched funding.
- Total project value must be equal to or greater than 2000000.
- Project must be for capital works and/or upgrades that activate the site and increase public accessibility and usage.
- Site must have no active or unresolved New South Wales Heritage Act 1977 compliance issues.
- Most of the project must be delivered from January 2023 and completed by mid to late 2025.
- State or Federal Government agencies cannot apply.
- Items not listed on the State Heritage Register are ineligible.
- Items owned and managed by a State or Federal Government agency are ineligible.
- Items acquired or leased from a State or Federal Government agency in the last two years are ineligible.
- Multiple-site listings such as large precincts or towns with multiple owners are ineligible.
