Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be a local government entity in New South Wales (local council). • Applicant must demonstrate the grant will be used for eligible heritage activities. • Applicant must hold at least $20 million public liability insurance before entering into a funding agreement. • Only one application per local council is permitted. • Some councils must provide matched contributions of at least $25,000, while others are exempt. • Projects must be delivered between 2025-07-01 and 2027-05-01. • Projects must commence within 3 months of the executed funding agreement. • Projects involving Aboriginal Cultural Heritage must demonstrate support from local Aboriginal communities and appropriate consultation. • Applicants that are not New South Wales local councils are ineligible.

If a project involves Aboriginal Cultural Heritage, applicants must show support from the local Aboriginal community and explain consultation arrangements.

Expected Outcomes
