Who Can Apply

• Organisation must be a currently approved rehoming organisation assessed by the Office of Local Government, or a registered charity providing animal rehoming services in New South Wales • Organisation must provide animal rehoming services in New South Wales • No members, staff or carers of the organisation have ever been charged, convicted or issued a penalty notice for offences under the Animal Research Act 1985, Companion Animals Act 1998, Companion Animals Regulation 2018, Exhibited Animals Protection Act 1986, or Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1979 • No members, staff or carers have operated premises where animals were kept or controlled and that were subject to a council order relating to the care and control of animals • No members, staff or carers have been declared bankrupt within the past ten years or been subject to insolvency administration or fraud convictions
Applicants must be either a currently approved rehoming organisation assessed by the Office of Local Government or a registered charity providing animal rehoming services in New South Wales. Eligible activities include purchasing animal care equipment, upgrading or expanding rehoming and welfare services, veterinary treatment such as desexing and vaccinations, training or rehabilitation services for dogs and cats, repairs and capital works for animal care facilities, and reasonable operating expenses directly associated with animal care and rehoming services.
