Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be a New South Wales-based Aboriginal Medical Service (AMS), Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO), or Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) • Project must be led by an eligible AMS, ACCHO, or ACCO • Aboriginal governance and decision-making must be embedded throughout the project • Application must show evidence of community co-design and consultation • Community priorities must inform the project approach • Culturally appropriate engagement methods must be used • Project must address a community-identified cancer priority across the cancer continuum • Project must align with priorities and principles in the NSW Aboriginal Cancer Strategy • Application must include a detailed and realistic budget aligned to proposed activities • Application must include a completed application form and organisation endorsement letter • Projects delivered outside New South Wales are not eligible • Capital purchases exceeding $2,000 are not eligible • Salaries for ongoing positions are not eligible, though backfilling is permitted • Cash-based participation incentives are not eligible • Administration, overhead and contingency fees are not eligible
Eligible applicants are NSW-based Aboriginal Medical Services, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations, and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations. Projects must be delivered in New South Wales and demonstrate Aboriginal leadership, embedded Aboriginal governance and decision-making, meaningful community co-design and consultation, use of culturally appropriate engagement methods, a focus on a community-identified cancer priority across the cancer continuum, alignment with the NSW Aboriginal Cancer Strategy, and a detailed realistic budget. Applications must include a completed application form and organisation endorsement letter. Funding cannot be used for projects delivered outside NSW, capital purchases exceeding $2,000, salaries for ongoing positions, cash-based participation incentives, or administration, overhead and contingency fees.
