Who Can Apply

Australian students and researchers are the target applicants across seven grant streams. Host institutions must be Australian museums, herbaria, universities or other government agencies focused on taxonomy and systematics. Projects must primarily undertake taxonomy research on the Australian biota. Research, early career research and postdoctoral fellowship streams require minimum 50% co-funding.
This grant opportunity is for Australian Honours and Masters and PhD students, researchers, non-salaried researchers, postdoctoral fellowship researchers and early career researchers. Host institutions include Australian museums, herbaria, universities and other government agencies with a focus on taxonomy and systematics. Seven grant streams are available. Honours Scholarship, Masters Scholarship, PhD Scholarship Support Grant and Non-salaried Researcher Grant do not require co-funding. Research Grant, Early Career Research Grant and Postdoctoral Fellowship Grant require co-funding of at least 50% of the total amount of grant funding sought. Projects must have the primary aim of undertaking research into the taxonomy of the Australian biota.
