Eligible activities include NAIDOC events and activities held in New South Wales such as community festivals and fun days, public exhibitions, community gatherings, cultural workshops, NAIDOC-themed sporting activities or competitions, and women’s, men’s and Elders-only activities. Funding can cover art or catering supplies, payments to artists, Elders or workshop facilitators, and venue or equipment hire.Before you apply

- Eligible applicant types include an unincorporated Aboriginal group with an eligible auspice arrangement
- Eligible applicant types include an incorporated not-for-profit organisation able to demonstrate culturally safe projects in collaboration with Aboriginal organisations and/or communities
- Applicant or auspice must be a legal entity located in New South Wales or a bordering community delivering services to Aboriginal communities in New South Wales
- Project must be delivered in New South Wales between 2026-07-01 and 2026-10-31
- Must hold public liability insurance of at least $10000000 per claim or be willing to purchase it
- Must have no outstanding reporting requirements relating to previous Aboriginal Affairs NSW funding
- Individuals cannot apply
- Federal or State government departments, agencies and bodies cannot apply
- New South Wales public schools and hospitals cannot apply
- Private schools and education institutions cannot apply
- New South Wales local councils cannot apply
- For-profit organisations including Aboriginal businesses and sole traders cannot apply
- Unincorporated Aboriginal organisations or groups without an eligible auspicing organisation cannot apply
- Organisations with outstanding obligations relating to previous Aboriginal Affairs NSW funding in the previous two years cannot apply
- Organisations with redress sanctions in place cannot apply
