The 2023-24 Multicultural Community Infrastructure Fund supports Victoria’s multicultural community organisations to have safe and secure places to celebrate and share their history and traditions, build connections, and thrive. Grants of up to $400,000 are available for community organisations to upgrade, renovate, extend or build multicultural community infrastructure.

Who Can Apply

- Applicant must generally be a not-for-profit multicultural community organisation or eligible social enterprise supporting multiculturalism. - Organisation must have no outstanding reports to the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing and must submit mandatory documents. - Project must meet matched funding requirements unless it targets specified priority groups. - Individuals, sole traders, local councils and primarily commercial for-profit organisations are not eligible.
To be eligible, organisations and projects must meet organisation eligibility criteria, have no outstanding reports to the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, meet matched funding requirements, include only eligible grant activities, and submit all mandatory documents. Eligible applicants are generally not-for-profit multicultural community organisations that can demonstrate their status through ACNC registration, Consumer Affairs Victoria incorporated association registration, registration under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) or the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (Vic), or through constitution, rules or governance documents. Social enterprises with a clearly stated purpose or mission specifically related to supporting multiculturalism are also eligible. Individuals, sole traders, local councils, most auspice arrangements, primarily commercial or for-profit organisations except eligible social enterprises, organisations that have failed to comply with previous grant terms, organisations unable to demonstrate capacity to meet ongoing maintenance and operational costs, and groups whose projects are the responsibility of another Victorian State Government portfolio cannot apply. Auspice arrangements are only permitted for new and emerging multicultural community organisations and projects, regional and rural located projects, and projects focused on achieving positive outcomes for women and gender diverse people. If an organisation is not incorporated or does not have an ABN, it may still apply with an eligible auspice organisation.
