Applicants must be recognised multicultural community organisations with premises that they manage and own, and the premises must be used solely or predominantly by multicultural communities for community activities in the Northern Territory. Projects must be consistent with the aim of the MCFG program, have identifiable outcomes and project objectives, and form part of a comprehensive plan to address needs identified by the applying organisation or group. Applicants must read the guidelines, finalise all Northern Territory Government grant acquittals before applying, and be compliant with relevant governing legislation. Funding is not available for community groups that do not specifically cater to people from migrant and refugee backgrounds, private for-profit groups, commercial or business ventures, real estate purchases, upgrades on facilities built in residential zoning areas, government or local government entity facilities, or rented facilities.
