Who Can Apply

Must have an active Australian Business Number, be non-tax-exempt, and be registered for Goods and Services Tax. Must be incorporated in Australia and be a trading corporation, including eligible start-ups. Project must align with a National Manufacturing Priority and have at least 2000000 in eligible project expenditure. Applicant must show board or Chief Executive Officer support and capacity to fund the non-grant share of project costs.
Applicants must be eligible entities with an eligible project and eligible expenditure, as set out in the grant opportunity guidelines. To be eligible, an applicant must have an Australian Business Number, be non-tax-exempt, and be registered for Goods and Services Tax. The applicant must also be an entity incorporated in Australia, including start-ups and a trading corporation, with trading activities that form a sufficiently significant proportion of the corporation's overall activities or are a substantial and not merely peripheral activity. Eligible projects must align with one of the National Manufacturing Priorities and have a minimum of 2 million dollars in eligible project expenditure. Applications must show evidence that the project is supported by the board, or the Chief Executive Officer or equivalent if there is no board, and that the applicant can meet project costs not covered by the grant. Grant funding must be between 1 million and 20 million dollars and must not exceed 50 percent of total eligible project expenditure.
