Who Can Apply

Must be a Victorian-based not-for-profit business community organisation or local government authority representing businesses. Must hold a current ABN and be registered with the relevant federal or state regulator. Must be based in Victoria or be the Victorian chapter of a national organisation. Round 1 recipients can reapply if compliant with prior obligations and nominating new training representatives.
To be eligible, the applicant must be a local government authority or an organisation that represents a specific group of Victorian businesses or businesses in a defined geographic area; be based in Victoria or be the Victorian chapter of a national organisation; be a not-for-profit organisation; hold a current Australian Business Number (ABN); and be registered with the responsible federal or state regulator. Unincorporated organisations and organisations with an ABN registered after 1 January 2022 may need a local council to enter into the grant agreement on their behalf. Previous Round 1 recipients may apply if they have complied with prior grant obligations and nominate new representatives for training. Recipients under any round of the Business Chambers and Trader Groups Program are also eligible to apply.

Eligible activities include supporting local business collaboration programs, engaging small businesses to co-design mental wellbeing initiatives, promoting mental wellbeing in business communities, establishing mental wellbeing working groups, and improving workplace mental wellbeing, resilience and recovery for small businesses. Funding can also be used for outsourced services related to the approved project.

Expected Outcomes

Applicants are expected to nominate representatives for training, complete at least one training attendance, develop and submit a community-led mental wellbeing project plan, deliver the approved project between June and October 2023, participate in a showcase, and submit a final report by 30 November 2023.
