Who Can Apply

• Shed must be located in Victoria and meet the program definition of a men’s shed. • Applicant must have a valid ABN and be an eligible incorporated not-for-profit, Aboriginal entity, local government entity, or apply via an auspice arrangement. • A 20% co-contribution is required, and there must be no outstanding reports from previous program grants. • Applications of $10,000 or more require 5+ years security of tenure or land ownership, a strategic plan, and detailed design plans.
Applications must be for a shed located in Victoria and must meet the definition of a men’s shed, respond to at least one program objective, demonstrate community need in line with the grant amount requested, be submitted by an eligible organisation, seek funding for an eligible purpose, provide a 20% co-contribution, incorporate universal design principles including disability access requirements, and have no outstanding reports from previous Men’s Shed Funding Program grants. For applications of $10,000 or more, the group must also have security of tenure through a lease or licence of 5 years or more or land ownership, a strategic plan covering the new or refurbished facility, and detailed design plans appropriate to the project complexity. Eligible applicants must have a valid ABN and be an incorporated organisation under relevant legislation, a not-for-profit company registered with the ACNC, an incorporated Aboriginal entity, or a local government entity, and must have appropriate insurance cover. Unincorporated groups may apply through an auspice arrangement with an incorporated organisation and must have an MoU or equivalent in place. Private for-profit companies, sole traders and individuals are not eligible.
