Who Can Apply

• Must be a Victorian manufacturer or medical technology business with existing operations in Victoria • Must be incorporated in Australia, hold an ABN, and be registered for WorkCover Insurance with WorkSafe Victoria • Must have annual turnover of $50 million or less and provide 1:1 cash co-contribution • Project must involve an eligible medtech product manufactured wholly or partly in Victoria and be at least proof-of-concept stage or otherwise verified
The program is open to Victorian manufacturers and medical technology businesses. To be eligible, a business must be developing an eligible medtech product at the time of application, have existing operations in Victoria, be incorporated in Australia, hold an Australian Business Number, be an employing business registered for WorkCover Insurance with WorkSafe Victoria, have annual turnover of $50 million or less, match grant funding on a 1:1 cash co-contribution basis, provide financial reports for the last three financial years for financial risk assessment, and participate in future program evaluation activity. Eligible projects must develop a manufactured medtech product or value chain inputs for such a product, with the product wholly or partially manufactured in Victoria for the duration of the project, and be a medical device or enabling medtech product using assistive, additive manufacturing or 3D printing technologies. The product must be relatively advanced in development, at least proof-of-concept stage equating to GAITS Stage 3, or verified with research and development or other pre-clinical studies.
