Who Can Apply

Eligible organisations include universities, medical research organisations, corporations and corporate Commonwealth entities. Projects must translate medical research into health benefits and support implementation of evidence-based health care. Streams 1 and 2 require collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including health care consumers and providers. Stream 2 is limited to eligible organisations based in rural MM2-7 locations.
Eligible organisations include universities, medical research organisations, corporations and corporate Commonwealth entities that can translate medical research into health benefits and can put health care solutions into practice. Three funding streams are available. Streams 1 and 2 support Australian medical research and medical innovation projects that use existing knowledge to accelerate translation of research findings into improved health care and health interventions, address a clearly defined gap in implementation of best practice health care, and involve all relevant stakeholders including health care consumers and providers. Stream 2 is for eligible organisations based in rural areas classified as MM2-7 under the Modified Monash Model Locator. Stream 3 supports a project that prospectively evaluates projects funded through the 2022 and previous 2020 Rapid Applied Research Translation grant opportunities and generates knowledge about adoption, impact and sustainability of evidence-based practice. Eligible organisations can submit a maximum of one application to either Stream 1 or Stream 2 and/or Stream 3.
