Applicants must have an Australian Business Number (ABN) and be incorporated in Australia. Eligible entities are a medical research institute, a university, a corporate Commonwealth entity, or a corporation including businesses and not for profits. Joint applications are encouraged where there is an eligible lead organisation. Applications must include details of the nominated Chief Investigator A, details of all research team members listed as Chief Investigators, evidence from the board or CEO that the project is supported and that the organisation can complete the project and meet costs not covered by grant funding, and letters of support from each project partner where applicable. Ineligible applicants include individuals, partnerships, unincorporated associations, trusts unless applying through an incorporated trustee, non-corporate Commonwealth entities, organisations not included in section 3.1 of the guidelines, organisations or project partners on the National Redress Scheme list of institutions that have not joined or signified intent to join, and employers of 100 or more employees that have not complied with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012.
