Applicants must be an eligible organisation capable of establishing a working BioMedTech incubator and selecting SMEs to partner with in new and innovative research projects. The successful organisation must identify and select Australian SMEs undertaking early-stage medical research and medical innovation projects with commercial potential through open and competitive processes, work in partnership with those SMEs, provide project funding of up to $5 million per SME over 5 years, and provide or procure specialist support and expertise to help them undertake agreed activities and attract commercial investment.
