This grant opportunity is intended for researchers undertaking projects to develop new diagnoses and treatment options for congenital heart disease. Ideally, projects target preventing neurodevelopmental and mental health complications, understanding prenatal and postnatal factors affecting the health of children born with congenital heart disease and their families, or exploring the role of exercise and increased activity in reducing the impact of congenital heart disease. Projects should align with the National Strategic Action Plan for Childhood Heart Disease and must be complementary to, and not duplicate, specified existing Medical Research Future Fund Accelerated Research investments. The grant amount can be up to 100% of eligible project costs, there is no minimum grant amount, the maximum grant amount is $10 million, and projects must be completed by 30 June 2024.
