Who Can Apply

• Must have an active ABN, be non-tax exempt, and be registered for GST. • Must be an Australian incorporated manufacturing SME with up to 199 employees. • Must have at least $400,000 in eligible project expenditure. • Project must align with at least one National Manufacturing Priority and demonstrate job creation and co-funding capacity.
To be eligible, applicants must have an Australian Business Number, be non-tax exempt, and be registered for GST. Applicants must be an entity incorporated in Australia, including start-ups, and a trading corporation where trading activities are a sufficiently significant or substantial activity. Applicants must also be a manufacturing small to medium-sized Australian enterprise with up to 199 employees, have at least $400,000 in eligible project expenditure, be able to identify expected Australian job creation, and demonstrate alignment with one or more of the six National Manufacturing Priorities: resources technology and critical minerals processing, food and beverage, medical products, recycling and clean energy, defence, or space. Applicants must also provide evidence that the project is supported by their board, that they can complete the project, and that they can meet project costs not covered by the grant.
