Applicants must hold an Australian business number (ABN), be classified under Australian and New Zealand Standard Industrial Classification codes for manufacturing or mining excluding 070 Oil and Gas Extraction, be an Australian entity, hold all relevant insurances, and be a mining or manufacturing facility reporting under the NSW National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting scheme.

Eligible projects include decarbonisation and emissions abatement activities such as fuel switching, kiln and boiler upgrades, waste heat recovery, heat pump installation, and facility retrofits including insulation, pipework rebuilds and process changes.
