• Applicant must be a legal entity incorporated under relevant Commonwealth or Victorian legislation, or similar incorporation • Eligible applicants include incorporated not-for-profits, committees of management, local government authorities, business and industry groups, social enterprises, research organisations and academic institutions • Applicant must have a current Australian Business Number (ABN), unless applying through an eligible auspice organisation • Applicant must have no outstanding reports required by any other government grant program • Project must be delivered in an eligible Local Government Area • Applicants must contact Emergency Recovery Victoria and seek input from the local Community Recovery Committee at least 7 days before applications close • Previous applicants to Local Economic Recovery Local Community Projects Rounds 1–2 were eligible to apply • Individuals, sole traders, political parties, schools, preschools, and unincorporated associations without auspice support were ineligible • Discretionary investment trusts and fixed trusts that were not registered not-for-profit organisations were ineligible
To be eligible, an organisation had to be a legal entity incorporated under relevant Commonwealth or Victorian legislation, or a similar type of incorporation. Eligible examples included committees of management, Alpine Resort Management Boards, local government authorities, incorporated not-for-profit organisations, cooperatives, associations, social enterprises, business and industry groups, and research organisations or academic institutions. Applicants had to have a current ABN, have no outstanding reports required by any other government grant program, and deliver the proposed project in an eligible Local Government Area. Applicants that were not incorporated or did not have an ABN could still be eligible if supported by an eligible auspice organisation and meeting other criteria. Applicants also had to contact ERV to discuss project ideas and seek input from the local Community Recovery Committee at least 7 days before applications closed. Ineligible applicants included political parties and organisations, individuals or groups of individuals, sole traders, registered primary or secondary schools and preschools, unincorporated associations without an auspice arrangement, and discretionary investment trusts and fixed trusts that were not registered not-for-profit organisations.
