Who Can Apply

• Must have an Australian Business Number (ABN) • Must be registered for the goods and services tax (GST) • Must be one of: an entity incorporated in Australia, an Australian university, a publicly funded research organisation (PFRO), or a cooperative research centre • Must provide evidence of ownership, access to, or beneficial use of intellectual property necessary to carry out the project • Must provide evidence from the board, CEO or equivalent that the project is supported and that the applicant can complete the project and meet non-grant project costs • Must provide an Accountant Declaration confirming the applicant can fund its share of project costs • Not eligible if on the National Redress Scheme list of institutions that have not joined or signified intent to join • Not eligible if an employer of 100 or more employees that has not complied with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 • Not eligible if income tax exempt • Not eligible if an individual, partnership or unincorporated association • Not eligible if a Commonwealth, state, territory or local government body, including government business enterprises • Not eligible if a non-corporate Commonwealth entity
To be eligible, applicants must have an Australian Business Number (ABN) and be registered for GST. Applicants must be an entity incorporated in Australia, an Australian university, a publicly funded research organisation, or a cooperative research centre. Applicants must provide evidence of ownership, access to, or beneficial use of intellectual property needed for the project, board or CEO support for the project and capacity to complete it, and an Accountant Declaration confirming they can fund their share of project costs. Ineligible applicants include organisations on the National Redress Scheme non-joined list, employers with 100 or more employees that have not complied with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012, income tax exempt entities, individuals, partnerships, unincorporated associations, government bodies, non-corporate Commonwealth entities, and organisations not included in section 4.1 of the Grant Opportunity Guidelines.
