Who Can Apply

• Must have an Australian Business Number (ABN) • Must be an entity incorporated in Australia, an eligible publicly funded research organisation, an incorporated not for profit organisation, or a local government agency or body • Joint applications are allowed if the lead organisation is eligible • Must provide evidence from the board, chief executive officer, or equivalent that the project is supported • Lead organisations can submit a maximum of one application per grant opportunity round • Must provide evidence of ability to fund their share of project costs, including 15% of eligible expenditure and any ineligible expenditure • Individuals are not eligible as lead applicants • Commonwealth or state or territory agencies or bodies that do not undertake publicly funded research are not eligible as lead applicants • Non-corporate Commonwealth entities are not eligible as lead applicants • Trusts are not eligible as lead applicants, although an incorporated trustee may apply on behalf of a trust

Lead applicants are not eligible if they are an individual, a Commonwealth or state or territory agency or body that does not undertake publicly funded research, a non-corporate Commonwealth entity, or a trust, although an incorporated trustee may apply on behalf of a trust.
