Lost casual, part-time or full-time work in the last 12 months due to retrenchment, downsizing or business closure Provide written evidence of job loss, redundancy, retrenchment or business closure Includes individuals, sole traders and partners in a partnership Must have a Tasmanian residential address and be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or meet visa requirements
To be eligible, applicants must have lost casual, full-time or part-time work in the last 12 months due to retrenchment, downsizing or business closure. They must provide written evidence of job loss, redundancy or retrenchment, such as a Centrelink Employment Separation Certificate stating the reason for job loss, or a redundancy/job loss letter or email from their employer including contact details for Skills Tasmania to verify eligibility if necessary. Self-employed applicants, including sole traders and partners in a partnership, must provide written evidence of business closure such as cancelled goods and services tax registration or Australian Business Number. Applicants must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident with a Tasmanian residential address, or if not a permanent resident, meet the relevant visa class requirements.
