• Must have an Australian Business Number (ABN) • Must be registered for Goods and Services Tax (GST) • Must be a not-for-profit organisation • Must be an entity incorporated in Australia • For-profit organisations are not eligible • Publicly Funded Research Organisations are not eligible to apply directly • Joint applications are allowed if the lead applicant is an eligible not-for-profit organisation • For reopened Stage 2, only organisations invited to apply could submit an application • Grant-funded services must be provided only to SMEs referred by Industry Growth Program Advisers or the Department • Applicants and project partners must not charge fees for service to participating SMEs • Applicants and project partners must not profit from or invest in SMEs participating in the Industry Growth Program
Applicants had to be invited to apply for the reopened Stage 2 and meet the eligibility requirements in the grant guidelines. To be eligible, an organisation had to have an Australian Business Number, be registered for GST, be a not-for-profit organisation, and be incorporated in Australia. For-profit organisations and publicly funded research organisations were not eligible to apply directly. Joint applications were permitted if the lead applicant was an eligible not-for-profit organisation. Applicants also had to provide services only to SMEs referred by Industry Growth Program Advisers or the Department, and could not charge fees for service or seek to profit from or invest in participating SMEs.
