Who Can Apply

Must have an active ABN, GST registration, be incorporated in Australia, and be a not-for-profit organisation. Only organisations invited to the reopened Stage 2 could apply. For-profit organisations and publicly funded research organisations were not eligible to apply directly. Joint applications were allowed if led by an eligible not-for-profit organisation.
Applicants had to be invited to submit an application for the reopened Stage 2. To be eligible, an organisation must have an Australian Business Number, be registered for Goods and Services Tax, be a not-for-profit organisation, and be incorporated in Australia. For-profit organisations and publicly funded research organisations are not eligible to apply directly, although joint applications are permitted where the lead applicant is an eligible not-for-profit organisation. Applicants and project partners must not profit from, charge fees to, or invest in SMEs participating in the Industry Growth Program, and funded services must be provided exclusively to SMEs referred by Industry Growth Program Advisers or the Department.
