• Must be registered for Goods and Services Tax (GST)
• Must be a not-for-profit organisation
• Must be incorporated in Australia
• For-profit organisations are not eligible
• Publicly Funded Research Organisations (PFROs), including many universities, are not eligible to apply directly
• Joint applications are allowed if the lead applicant is an eligible not-for-profit organisation
• Applicants had to meet eligibility requirements at the time of application
• For the reopened Stage 2, only invited organisations could apply and invitation codes were not transferable
• Applicants and project partners must not charge participating SMEs fees for service or seek commercial advantage from them
To be eligible, applicants must have an Australian Business Number (ABN), be registered for GST, be a not-for-profit organisation, and be incorporated in Australia. For-profit organisations are not eligible. Publicly Funded Research Organisations, including many universities, are not eligible to apply directly, although they may participate in joint applications where an eligible not-for-profit organisation is the lead applicant. Joint applications are permitted if the lead organisation is an eligible not-for-profit entity. Applicants had to be eligible at the time of application. Applicants and project partners must not profit from or invest in participating SMEs, including charging fees for service.
