Industry Growth Program

The Industry Growth Program provides advisory support and matched grant opportunities for innovative Australian SMEs undertaking commercialisation and growth projects in National Reconstruction Fund priority areas. Eligible businesses can apply at any time for advisory services and, after receiving an advisory report, may apply for grants from $50,000 to $5 million.

Early-stage commercialisation projects at feasibility study, proof-of-concept and prototyping stages, and commercialisation and growth projects covering prototyping through to market readiness, including market entry strategies, accelerating growth and scaling into national and international markets.Expected Outcomes

What is the Industry Growth Program?
How much funding does the Industry Growth Program provide?
Who is eligible for the Industry Growth Program?
- Must first receive an Industry Growth Program Advisory Service report before applying for a grant opportunity
- Must be an eligible entity with an innovative product, process or service intended for commercialisation and/or growth
- Project must be in one or more National Reconstruction Fund priority areas
- Must have combined annual turnover of less than $20 million for each of the 3 financial years before lodging the application
- Must have an Australian Business Number (ABN)
- Must be registered for goods and services tax (GST)
- Must not be exempt from paying income tax
- Must be a company incorporated in Australia, a co-operative, or an incorporated trustee applying on behalf of a trust
- Individuals, partnerships, trusts without an incorporated trustee, and government agencies or bodies cannot apply
- Organisations on the National Redress Scheme list of institutions that have not joined or signified intent to join are ineligible
- Employers of 100 or more employees that have not complied with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 are ineligible
- Minor changes or improvements to existing products or services are not considered innovative and are not eligible
- Grant applications are awarded on merit and not all advisory participants will receive funding
