Who Can Apply

Existing multi-year IVAIS-funded organisations with at least 2 prior consecutive core operational funding agreements, or organisations invited to deliver program-specific activities. Must hold a grant agreement ending in the 2025-26 financial year. Must have an active ABN, GST registration if required, and an Australian financial institution account. Must be an eligible entity type and have no overdue acquittals or serious breaches of Australian Government funding agreements.
To be eligible for a Closed Non-Competitive IVAIS grant, an organisation must be either an existing multi-year funded organisation with at least 2 prior consecutive IVAIS funding agreements that include core operational funding, or an organisation invited to deliver program-specific activities. It must also hold a grant agreement where funding is due to end in the 2025-26 financial year, have an Australian Business Number, be registered for GST if required by the Australian Taxation Office, and have an account with an Australian financial institution. Eligible entity types include an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Corporation registered under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006, an entity established through specific Commonwealth or State or Territory legislation, a company incorporated in Australia, a company limited by guarantee, an incorporated association, a publicly funded research organisation, or a state, territory or local government body. The organisation must also have no overdue acquittals or serious breaches relating to Australian Government funding.
