Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be a community preschool receiving funding under NSW Start Strong for Community Preschools or the Mobile Preschool Funding Program. • Funding is for child-based applications supporting children currently attending the service. • Child must be at least 3 years old on or before 31 July in the preschool year, or turn 3 after 31 July with exceptional circumstances. • Child must either have constant and ongoing support needs requiring significant adjustments, or a temporary illness or injury requiring short-term adjustment. • Applications may relate to one child or multiple children where the adjustment, equipment or furniture supports more than one child. • Citizenship and residency status of the child are not considered in determining eligibility. • Applications for specialised equipment or furniture require supporting evidence from specialised professionals. • Applications must include itemised quotes excluding GST and, where relevant, freight. • Applicant must declare there is sufficient space for equipment or furniture to be installed and used safely. • If total project cost exceeds the grant amount, the preschool must confirm it can fund the difference.
