Who Can Apply

• Be an owner-occupier, or a landlord of a property that was occupied, in an eligible local government area under AGRN 1212 before the flood • The home must be uninhabitable because of flood or storm damage • The property must have been the primary place of residence of the applicant or tenants and lawfully erected at the time of the disaster • Household gross income must be within the grant income threshold • Applicant must not be covered by flood insurance • Applicant must not have a current application for, or previously received, the Disaster Relief Grant or Renters Bond and Advanced Rent Grant • If applying as a landlord, agree to return the property to the private rental market at its pre-disaster rental rate for at least 6 months following repairs • Someone else from the household must not have already applied for the grant • Landlords leasing properties on a short-term basis such as holiday lettings cannot apply

Applicants cannot apply if someone from their household has already applied, if they have flood insurance covering the damage, or if a landlord's property is leased on a short-term basis such as holiday lettings.
