Who Can Apply

Must be an NT homeowner, registered NT business, or NT not-for-profit/community organisation. Only one application per property and per homeowner; homeowners with a business may apply once for each. Previous HBBS grant recipients are not eligible. Funded systems must use eligible batteries and approved works must start only after approval.

Applicants must be a registered owner of a residential property in the Northern Territory, a registered Northern Territory business, or a not-for-profit or community organisation operating in the Northern Territory in owned or leased premises. Only one application is allowed per property and per homeowner. Homeowners who also own a business may apply once for their home and once for their business. Previous recipients of the Home and Business Battery Scheme are not eligible for the new scheme. Funding is for eligible battery systems on the Clean Energy Council approved battery list, for either solar PV installed simultaneously with an eligible battery and inverter, or an eligible battery and inverter where solar PV is already installed. Works must only start after application approval and must be completed within 6 months of voucher issue.
