Who Can Apply

• Applicants must be based in Victoria. • Applicants must have a current Australian Business Number (ABN), unless applying through an auspice arrangement. • Eligible applicants include registered Victorian government secondary schools. • Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organisations incorporated under the Corporations Act 2001 and registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission. • Eligible applicants include incorporated Aboriginal entities, including Aboriginal not-for-profit organisations, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, Traditional Owner groups and land trusts. • Eligible applicants include incorporated social enterprises with a clear mission related to engaging and empowering young people. • Social enterprises must attach their constitution with the application. • Applicants must seek funding for eligible activities under the program. • Applicants must have no overdue reports from previous or current grants funded by the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing. • Applicants must include all mandatory attachments in an acceptable format. • Unincorporated associations and community organisations with no ABN are not eligible to apply directly but may apply using an auspice. • Auspiced applications must include a letter of support or letter of intent from the auspice organisation. • Partnership applications are encouraged between community organisations or social enterprises and secondary schools, or between two or more secondary schools. • Ineligible entities include government entities and agencies, individuals and sole traders, private for-profit companies, non-government schools and charitable trusts. • Funded activities must take place in Victoria.

Unincorporated groups or organisations without an ABN may apply using an eligible auspice organisation. Ineligible entities include government entities and agencies, individuals and sole traders, private for-profit companies, non-government schools and charitable trusts.

Expected Outcomes

Projects are expected to help young people achieve goals through education, training, volunteering or employment, increase their involvement in decision making, and build confidence, identity and culture. Successful recipients must deliver funded activities by 31 December 2026 and provide progress reports, a final report and project acquittal.
