Victorian business registered in Victoria with an ABN held on 16 March 2020 Kinaway-certified Aboriginal business Minimum annual or pro-rata turnover of $30,000 and impacted by COVID-19 trading restrictions Not eligible if already received $10,000 or more from specified Victorian business support funds
Applicants must be Victorian Aboriginal businesses, including sole traders and self-employed businesses, that are registered in Victoria, hold an active Australian Business Number held on 16 March 2020, are certified as an Aboriginal business through Kinaway Chamber of Commerce, have minimum annual turnover of $30,000 or pro-rata turnover where annual turnover is not available, and have been impacted by temporary COVID-19 trading restrictions. Applicants must provide Kinaway certification and evidence of turnover. Not-for-profit, charitable organisations, community organisations, co-operatives and Australian public companies are not eligible. Businesses that have already received $10,000 or more from the Business Support Fund, Business Support Fund – Expansion program, or the third round of the Business Support Fund are not eligible. Only one grant is available per eligible ABN.

Eligible businesses can use the grant to meet operating costs such as utilities, stock, salaries and rent, obtain financial or legal advice, undertake marketing and communications, address supply chain and logistics issues, and pivot their business offering in response to COVID-19 conditions.
