• Must be a Victorian Aboriginal business certified through Kinaway. • Must hold an Australian Business Number on 27 May 2021 and be registered in Victoria. • Must have minimum annual turnover of 30000 or pro-rata equivalent and be impacted by COVID-19 trading restrictions. • Not eligible if already funded through Business Costs Assistance Program/s or the Small Business COVID Hardship Fund.
Applicants had to be Victorian Aboriginal businesses, including sole traders and self-employed businesses, that were registered in Victoria, held an active Australian Business Number on 27 May 2021, were certified as an Aboriginal business through Kinaway Aboriginal Chamber of Commerce, had minimum annual turnover of $30,000 or pro-rata turnover where annual turnover was not available, and had been impacted by temporary COVID-19 trading restrictions. Applicants had to provide Kinaway certification evidence and turnover evidence such as a letter from a qualified agent or Business Activity Statements. Charitable organisations, community organisations, co-operatives and Australian public companies were not eligible. Businesses that had already received funding through the Business Costs Assistance Program/s or the Small Business COVID Hardship Fund were not eligible.
