• Must be a Victorian business registered in Victoria • Must hold an Australian Business Number and have held that ABN on 2021-05-27 • Must be certified as an Aboriginal business through Kinaway Aboriginal Chamber of Commerce • Must have minimum annual turnover of 30000, or pro-rata turnover if annual turnover is not available • Must have been impacted by temporary COVID-19 trading restrictions • Includes Victorian Aboriginal businesses, sole traders and self-employed businesses • Charitable organisations, community organisations, co-operatives and Australian public companies are not eligible • Businesses that already received funding through the Business Costs Assistance Program/s or the Small Business COVID Hardship Fund are not eligible
Applicants had to be Victorian Aboriginal businesses, including sole traders and self-employed businesses, registered in Victoria and holding an active Australian Business Number held on 27 May 2021. The business had to be certified as an Aboriginal business through Kinaway Aboriginal Chamber of Commerce, have minimum annual turnover of $30,000 or pro-rata turnover where annual turnover was not available, and have been impacted by temporary COVID-19 trading restrictions. Charitable organisations, community organisations, co-operatives and Australian public companies were not eligible. Businesses that had already received funding through the Business Costs Assistance Program/s or the Small Business COVID Hardship Fund were also not eligible.
