To be eligible, applicants must hold an Australian business number (ABN) and have held that ABN at the time of the disaster, be located in the defined disaster area for the eligible disaster and have suffered direct damage as a result, be primarily responsible for meeting the costs claimed in the application, and intend to re-establish the undertaking in the same area. The program is for primary producers and businesses affected by the North QLD monsoon trough, Cyclone Koji, Cyclone Narelle and severe weather commencing 24 December 2025.

Eligible activities include clean-up, reinstatement and emergency measures such as equipment and materials for clean-up, additional labour costs, disposal of damaged goods and stock, repairs to non-housing buildings, repair or reconditioning of essential plant and equipment, hire or purchase of equipment needed for immediate resumption, safety inspections by tradespeople, and essential repairs to premises and internal fittings not covered by insurance.

Expected Outcomes

Businesses and primary production operations recover from disaster impacts, complete essential clean-up and repairs, and re-establish their undertaking in the same affected area.
