Who Can Apply

• Have an eligible business structure • Be a Research Commercialisation Entity or Eligible Partner Entity, or an Australian incorporated trading company • Be non-tax exempt • Be registered for the goods and services tax (GST) • Have turnover or operating expenditure of less than $20 million for each of the last 3 financial years • Have a project with a novel product, process or service • Demonstrate scalability and technical feasibility • Show market acceptance but not have had first sales • Intend to trade in Australia and/or overseas markets • Demonstrate ability to rapidly increase trade across multiple markets • Own, access, or have beneficial use of relevant intellectual property • Provide evidence of ability to fund at least 50% of eligible project expenditure • Not be an individual, partnership, unincorporated association, trust (unless via an incorporated trustee), or non-corporate Commonwealth entity
Applicants must have an eligible business structure, or be a Research Commercialisation Entity or Eligible Partner Entity, and have a novel product, process or service project with evidence they can fund at least 50% of eligible project expenditure. The business must be non-tax exempt, registered for GST, and have turnover or operating expenditure of less than $20 million for each of the last 3 financial years. Eligible entities include a company incorporated in Australia and a trading corporation, or a Research Commercialisation Entity or Eligible Partner Entity. Individuals, partnerships, unincorporated associations, trusts (except via an incorporated trustee), and non-corporate Commonwealth entities are not eligible. Projects must be significantly different to previous innovations, demonstrate scalability, technical feasibility, market acceptance without first sales, intent to trade in Australia and/or overseas, ability to rapidly increase trade across multiple markets, and ownership, access to or beneficial use of relevant intellectual property.
