The Emerging Producer Placement Program offers a paid placement of approximately six months for emerging producers to gain experience working at Screen NSW and local production companies. It aims to support employment, career development and access to the screen industry for New South Wales-based emerging producers.

Who Can Apply

• Be an emerging producer who currently resides in New South Wales • Identify from one or more NSW Government key priority areas: Regional NSW, Western Sydney, First Nations people, culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people living with disability, or LGBTQIA+ people • Meet one experience criterion: at least one producer credit on a short film or web series screened at an eligible festival, or at least 5 years' screen industry experience including work with an established production company and/or market player in a relevant role • Adhere to the general eligible requirements under the Screen NSW Terms of Trade • Priority for one placement is reserved for an emerging First Nations producer
Applicants must be emerging producers who currently reside in New South Wales. They must identify from one or more NSW Government key priority areas: Regional NSW, Western Sydney, First Nations people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people living with disability, or LGBTQIA+ people. Applicants must also meet one of the following experience criteria: at least one producer credit on a short film or web series that screened at a festival on the Eligible Festival List, or at least 5 years' experience in the screen industry including work with an established production company and/or market player in a relevant role. One placement is reserved as a priority for an emerging First Nations producer. Applicants must also meet the general eligible requirements under the Screen NSW Terms of Trade.
