Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be a local council or county council identified under the Local Government Act 1993 and providing water supply and/or sewerage services under Section 56, a water supply authority identified in the Water Management Act 2000, a joint organisation, or a town water supplier in an unincorporated area. • Applicant must be located in an eligible regional New South Wales local government area or unincorporated area listed by the program. • Funding is limited to essential domestic, commercial, industrial and institutional purposes in urban areas, or essential domestic purposes in non-urban areas. • For water cartage support, applicants must target minimum essential quantities and implement high-level water restrictions that prohibit outdoor usage. • If water is carted for drinking purposes, the applicant must follow NSW Health's Guidelines for Water Carters. • Applicants must address all eligibility criteria and provide the required documentation for the relevant stream.
Applicants must be eligible regional water supply organisations in New South Wales, including local councils and county councils identified under the Local Government Act 1993 that provide water supply and/or sewerage services under Section 56, water supply authorities identified in the Water Management Act 2000, joint organisations as defined by the Office of Local Government, and town water suppliers in unincorporated areas. The grant applies only to essential domestic, commercial, industrial and institutional purposes in urban areas, or essential domestic purposes in non-urban areas. For water cartage, applicants must target minimum essential quantities and implement a high level of water restrictions prohibiting outdoor usage. If water is carted for drinking purposes, the eligible organisation must follow NSW Health's Guidelines for Water Carters. Applicants must address the eligibility criteria in full and submit required supporting documentation relevant to the funding stream.
