Who is eligible for the Electric vehicle kerbside charging grants?
- Applicant must be an entity incorporated under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), a state-owned corporation or subsidiary of an Australian state or territory owned corporation, or a local government or council in New South Wales.
- Applicant must have a valid ABN.
- Applicant must have appropriate insurance in place.
- Applicant and any partners/financiers must be able to privately fund at least 20% on average across the application.
- Applicant must agree to participate in project reporting requirements.
- Application must propose a minimum of 4 EV charging sites and at least 8 total EV charge ports.
- NSW Government contribution must be no more than $800,000 per applicant.
- NSW Government contribution must be no more than 80% of total installation and equipment cost per requested EV charger, capped at $10,000 per charge port.
- Applications may include up to 80% of a 3-year EV charger software subscription cost for each charging site where applicable.
- Applicant must commit to installing and commissioning all sites within 12 months of executing the funding agreement.
- All proposed charging sites must be in eligible local government areas listed in the grant guidelines.
- Applicant must provide letters of support from each council where proposed EV chargers are to be located.
- Where chargers interact with electricity supply authority assets, applicant must provide a letter of support from the relevant electricity supply authority.
