The Electric Vehicle Charger Scheme provides grants to Northern Territory residents and businesses to help buy and install electric vehicle chargers at eligible residential or business properties. • Residential applicants can apply for up to $1,000 to buy and install an EV charger at their residential property • Residential applicant must own the home where the charger will be installed • Residential applicant must own at least one EV that will be kept at that home • Residential applicant must not have already received funding for a charger for that EV • Business applicants can apply for up to $2,500 to buy and install a charger at their business property • Business must operate from a property in the Northern Territory used only for business purposes, not residential purposes • Business applicant must own the property or have a written agreement to use it • Business applicant must have the legal right to install a charger at the property • Business applicant must own at least one EV that will be kept at the business property and used for the business • Business applicant must not have already received funding for a charger for that EV • Chargers must be installed by an approved service provider • Application must include all supporting documents
Residential applicants may be eligible if they own the home where the charger will be installed, own at least one electric vehicle that will be kept at that home, and have not already received funding for a charger for that EV. Business applicants in the Northern Territory may be eligible if the business operates from a property in the Northern Territory used only for business purposes, the applicant owns the property or has a written agreement to use it, has the legal right to install a charger there, owns at least one EV that will be kept at the business property and used for the business, and has not already received funding for a charger for that EV. Chargers must be installed by an approved service provider and applicants must provide all supporting documents.
