- Must have an eligible project and eligible expenditure
- Must have purchased and installed at least one eligible smart EV charger at an eligible site on or after 2024-03-26, or purchased a portable DC EV charging unit with minimum expenditure of 2500
- Fixed EV charging units must meet smart requirements with online connection for monitoring and management
- Fixed smart EV charging units must be installed by a licenced electrician
- Portable DC EV charging units must use an outlet assessed by a licenced electrician for safety and additional load
- Cannot be a business operating out of residential premises
- Cannot be an organisation excluded from the listed eligible entity types
- Cannot be on the National Redress Scheme list of institutions that have not joined or signified intent to join, and project partners also cannot be on that list
- Employers with 100 or more employees must comply with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012
